Instructions for maintenance and use

Preparing the pure cast iron pot: seasoning
Before its first use, wash the pot in hot water and dish soap, rinse and dry. Grease the pot, on all sides (inside, outside, handles) using a layer of vegetable oil and place it in the oven face down on a tray (preferably with aluminium foil to collect the grease that will drain), at the highest temperature, for one hour. Then turn off the oven and let the pot cool inside. A protective layer will form to prevent the pot from rusting and the food from sticking. Such preparation (seasoning) must be repeated periodically, more precisely when the dish loses its non-stick quality.

Cleaning the cast iron pot
We recommend to clean the pot with salt and hot water, using the rough part of a sponge or half a lemon, as it is a degreaser. Since cast iron is a porous material, avoid cleaning the pot with chemicals or detergents that could be absorbed by the pot.

Maintenance and storage of the cast iron pot
We recommend greasing the pot with vegetable oil before each storage. If the pot has a lid, do not store it covered, in order to allow it to ventilate.

Rust removal (perfectly normal on a pure cast iron pot)
Heat the pot and rub using the rough part of a sponge. If rust persists, immerse the bowl in a solution (50% water, 50% vinegar) and then clean again.
You can also try cleaning the rusty pot using a potato. Cut one potato in half, then rub with the cut side of the potato.
After removing the rust, a new seasoning process is required.

5 stars for the pan. The grill is full of rust, I don't know how to proceed.

Technical characteristics of the product

With the right pot, you can now embark on a unique culinary adventure. We recommend that you try the recipe below:

Steak sandwich

Ingredients:
- a beef or veal steak
- a wand
- 2 tablespoons of horseradish paste
- 2-3 ripe peppers preserved in vinegar
- 3 cloves of garlic
- a generous handful of rocket leaves
- ½ bunch of green parsley
- salt and pepper
- balsamic vinegar
- olive oil


Method of preparation:
Grill the beef on both sides, as desired.

Meanwhile, finely chop the roasted peppers, the green parsley and crush the garlic cloves in a press. Add salt, pepper and a few drops of balsamic vinegar. Mix everything right on the chopper and spread the composition on its surface, forming a bed for the steak. When the steak is ready, roll it in the sauce on the chopper and leave it there to rest.

The baguette is cut lengthwise. Brush both sides with a little olive oil. Spread the horseradish paste in the baguette.

Add the rocket leaves. The beef steak is cut diagonally into thin slices, seasoned and also placed in the sandwich.

Put the rest of the roasted pepper sauce on top of it and close the sandwich.
