Ingredients:
- 500g whole wheat flour or white wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon dry yeast
- 350ml warm water
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Make a well in the middle of the flour.
2. In a glass, dissolve the yeast in warm water. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
3. Pour the yeast mixture over the flour in the bowl and mix until a soft and homogeneous dough is formed. You can use a wooden spoon or your hands to mix.
4. Cover the bowl with a clean towel and let the dough rise for about 1-2 hours or until doubled in size. You can leave the dough to rise in a warm place, such as on the kitchen counter.
5. After the dough has risen, heat the light non-stick cast iron pan in the oven at 220°C for about 30 minutes.
6. When the pan is hot, take it out of the oven and sprinkle some flour inside.
7. Place the leavened dough in the hot saucepan and level it gently with a spatula or wet hands.
8. Cover the pan with a lid or aluminum foil and place it back in the preheated oven.
9. Bake the bread for about 30-40 minutes or until it is golden and makes a hollow sound when you tap the bottom of the bread.
10. Once the bread is baked, remove it from the pan and let it cool on a wire rack for at least 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
